Welcome to my site about my Naturally Reared Carolina Dogs! Carolina Dogs are a relatively new, rare breed recognized by the UKC, AKC-FSS & ARBA, and are quite possibly America's own indigenous wild dog. CDs make wonderful companions, athletes, hunters, and bedwarmers! Natural Rearing is the philosophy wherein we raise our dogs and puppies by following the 8 Laws of Health, employing Biologically Appropriate Raw Food and no toxic chemicals on, in or around our dogs. We have found this way of life fosters balance, health and longevity in our beloved companions. For our puppies, we welcome homes that have a very similar philosophy about dog rearing, or wish to learn. Check us out, follow us and share us in other places!!! Care
Buyer is aware Puppy, as well as it’s Sire and Dam, have been cared for using Natural Rearing Practices (ie: Puppy weaned to biologically appropriate raw food, currently unvaccinated, no use of chemicals on, in, or around Puppy, and holistic veterinarian care. Buyer is reasonably confident in knowledge thereof, and agrees to continue these practices with Puppy for it’s lifetime, to the best of their ability.
Buyer Is aware the Carolina Dog is a primitive breed that has relatively recently been domesticated, thus is more sensitive to harsh training techniques and environmental factors outside of the Natural Rearing practices, which could result in lifelong illness of the dog, and would void any health warranty.
Buyer is recommended to have Puppy examined by their own vet within 72 hours of acquisition.
Buyer is aware Puppy has not been vaccinated, although should be protected by Mother’s Immunity until approximately 10 weeks of age. Buyer will use reasonable precautions when exposing Puppy to potentially contaminated areas(ie: veterinarian clinics, pet stores, dog parks, & other public highly dog-frequented areas) reasonable precautions being holding Puppy in your arms, not allowing Puppy to eat, drink or contact possible infected areas. Total isolation is not necessary, but please use common-sense and be educated.
Buyer agrees not to breed Puppy unless: Puppy completely conforms to the UKC Breed Standard, is completely healthy and sound, has completed UKC registration, and the CD to be bred to conforms to the same standards.
Buyer agrees to inform Seller immediately if any problems arise, whether health related, behavioral or otherwise and to follow all seller and holistic veterinarian recommendations for the solution of the problem.
Buyer agrees to properly care for Puppy for it’s entire lifetime.
Buyer agrees Puppy will not be tied out for daily containment purposes . Puppy should have a suitable kennel run or fenced yard with appropriate fencing height to contain Puppy, or other reliable containment options, with proper shelter from all elements of weather or (ideally) kept in the home. Buyer understands that the Carolina Dog is a pack oriented canid and will be happiest if it lives with it’s pack(ie: you and your household).
Buyer will not sell or give away Puppy or any of it’s offspring to any individual or establishment that is in the business of buying and selling dogs for profit, pet store, or animal shelter of any kind.
If Puppy is to be sold, taken away, or the owner cannot care for the puppy for any reason, Seller will be given notification and first option to get Puppy back, for an mutually agreed upon price that takes into consideration the costs of care until Puppy can be re-homed. Puppy will be returned with health records, Identification papers, and UKC Registration Papers. Improper care, abuse, neglect, or failure to comply with the terms of this contract  will void any warranty, although Seller will always take Puppy back and re-home it or keep it for it’s remaining lifetime, as the situation warrants.
Buyer understands Seller has had Puppy tattooed for identification purposes and agrees to both register ownership  and maintain registration with the appropriate registry, as well as include tattoo # on the UKC Permanent Registration Application, for the purpose of identification in the event Puppy becomes lost from Buyer.
______________________Buyer acknowledges receipt of tattoo registration information.
